Hello I am a I.T. engineer from Canada and I bought some magic stone from therapeuticstone.com from Hong Kong when I was on my way to Taiwan to marry my love. Being an engineer, prolonged hours of static and awful postures cause various tension and pain on my spine and limbs. Suffering of pain is the norm of my life. I was attracted by the scientific evidence of how bianstone performs its therapeutic effect. And I also like the design of the stones and I thought it would be very good wedding gifts for my wife. And the stone really did not let me down. Not only my sweetheart loves the stone as an witness of our matrimonial union but also I can say goodbye to my body tension and pains . I really thanks the long history country China and its powerful magic healing stone for making life much easier and wonderful for me. - Ricki Gregersen from Canada

Sixteen Bianstone Therapeutics

The Sense Method The sense method is an approach of getting close to or contacting with Sibin pumice or Sibin products for health care. There is no force or few forces generated between the rocks and human body in the sense method. Health care effects depend on the induction between Sibin pumice and the human body. The principle is that the Bianstone can generate 8-15μm far infrared (see the part of “Exploration of Bianstone”), permeable to the deep tissue to improve the capillary microcirculation while producing resonance with organism, promoting cell repair and recovery to achieve the therapeutic effect. The Sense method is the most basic method among the 16 methods of Bianstone therapeutics. It is usually applied with other methods but it can be also used alone.
Sibin pumice and crude stone of any Bianstone tool can be used to perform the sense method. However, in general, massive Bianstone tools such as Bianstone block, Bianstone anvil and SiBin-Huwen Chime Stone have better effects. Although some Sibin pumice ornaments are not big, the effects can be obvious after a long-time of wearing. The Sense method includes the approach sense and the contact sense, and the contact sense can be further divided into the direct contact and the indirect contact. The direct contact refers to contact with the human body directly with Bianstone tools while in the indirect contact, there are clothing and textiles between the Bianstone tools and the human body .In general, the direct contact has the best induction effect; the indirect contact, the second; the approach method, the third. Therefore, the later requires the use of larger Bianstone tools.

The Press Method To put the Bianstone tool on the human body and press it. Examples:

  1. i. To put the Bianstone block on the human body. With its own weight, the Bianstone block itself can give enough pressure on the human body.
  2. When the Bianstone tools of this kind are not heavy enough, the Bianstone therapist needs to push the Bianstone by hand to achieve the effect.
  3. To apply the narrow side of the Bianstone block or the Bianstone anvil, or the side edge of Bianstone bar to press along the main and collateral channels.
  4. The End face of the Cone Bianstone or the Bianstone bar can be used to press the acupoints. The Bianstone ball can also be used to press the acupoints.
  5. To put the Bianstone ball on a table or carpet, and press the Bianstone ball with hand or foot. It is necessary to sit steadily on the chair when stepping on the Bianstone to guard against falling.
  6. To pillow on the Bianstone block or lie on the Bianstone.

The Roll Method The Roll method uses the circular Bianstone tools to roll on the human body. As the rolling friction is smaller than that of sliding friction, stimulation of Bianstone tools to human body is weak. Therefore, the roll method is particularly suitable for the weak or the body parts that are unfit for strong stimulation, such as head, face, etc. Following are some examples of rolling method.

  1. i. To lay down the Bianstone bar or the Cone Bianstone on the affected areas, and then a Bianstone Therapist rubs a Bianstone bar or a cone Bianstone, rolling on the affected areas.
  2. To hold the handle of the Bianstone roller, and roll on the affected region.
  3. The Bianstone ball can be used to roll along the main and collateral channels.
  4. To sit on the chair and step on a Bianstone ball or a Bianstone bar, rubbing the Bianstone ball or Bianstone bar with feet for foot care.
  5. To roll the Bianstone ball in the palm is also a very common way for health care in the roll method.

The Scrub Method The Scrub method is to do sliding friction on the skin by using the smooth surface of Bianstone tools. As sliding friction is greater than rolling friction, the Bianstone tools have stronger stimulation on the human body. However, the surface of Sibin pumice product is very smooth due to its microcrystalline structure, making it quite comfortable to rub it on the human body. Stimulations of the Bianstone on the human body are weak in the scrub method and can be used on the part that is vulnerable to stimulation, such as face, ribs and other parts. The patient will not feel any pain in the scrub method unless he or she has trauma. Followings are examples for the scrub method.

  1. iA Bianstone therapist holds the Bianstone anvil or Bianstone block, rubbing on the human body with their surface.
  2. The edge of the Bianstone anvil, Bianstone bar and Bianstone board or the Bianstone's circular edge panels can be used as a therapy along the main and collateral channels.
  3. Put the Bianstone block on the table or the carpet, rubbing it with palm or sole of the foot for hand and foot care.

The Prick Method The Prick method uses the apex of the Cone Bianstone and the tail of the Bianstone board. The corner of the Bianstone board and the tip of the Bianstone rolling handle are used to stimulate the human body. The Prick method generally stimulates by acupoints, whose selection is decided by the specific diseases.
The stimulation of the prick method on human body is rather strong among all the Bianstone therapeutics. However, its effect is much weaker than that of the metal needle in needling therapeutics. The degrees of stimulation on the acupoints depend on the cone Bianstone apex. The more pointed the Cone Bianstone is, the stronger stimulation it has. In today's new Bianstone therapy, the Cone Bianstone is not sharp so as to avoid hurting one's flesh.

The Stroke Method The pointed or angular Bianstone tools are used both in the stoke method and the prick method. Their difference lies in the handing. The prick method exerts forces from surface to the inner fixed at a point while the stoke method strokes along the main and collateral channels with the Bianstone tools.
In the stroke method, the pointed parts of the Cone Bianstone contact with human body first, making a forward cone pole in a 45-degree angle for the pressing along the main and collateral channels. It can be divided into fast stroke and slow stroke according to the stroke speed. The fast stroke has better effect in expelling heat-toxin, while slow stroke is better in dredging the meridian. The Bianstone Therapist chooses the speed of stroke. He or she can either adopt moderate speed or use fast stroke and slow stroke alternately. The slow stroke is adopted at first and then speeded up gradually. The Bianstone therapist will return to the slow stoke in the end and then finish it.

The Tap method The method that uses the Bianstone tools to tap on the human body is called the tap method. Almost all the Bianstone tools, small and medium, can be used this way. The commonly used Bianstone tools include the Bianstone anvil, the Bianstone ball, the cone Bianstone, the Bianstone bar and the Bianstone board. The strength to tap should be moderate, and its frequency ought to accord with the patient's pulse. The Tap method is a method of strong stimulation in the Bianstone therapeutics. It can promote blood flow, eliminate body heat-toxin and excess fat and dispel fatigue. Following are some examples of the implementation of tap method.

  1. To tap on the shoulder and back for the treatment of shoulder and back pain.
  2. To lay down the Bianstone bar or the cone Bianstone, or use the narrow edge of the Bianstone anvil to do the tap method along the main collateral channels.
  3. To use the apex of the Cone Bianstone, the rear of the Bianstone board or corner of the Bianstone anvil to tap the acupoints, the selection of which should be related with the patient's disease.
  4. To use the Bianstone ball or the Bianstone anvil to tap on the full parts of the limbs. This method is effective in eliminating fatigue after heavy physical labour, long-distance travel or athletic games.

The Scrape Method The method to use all kinds of Bianstone tools scraping. It is different from the scrub method that uses the face of the Bianstone tool to scrub human body with a large contact area and a consequent minor strength. In comparison, the scrape method uses the edge or blade to scrape the human body, achieving a strong effect with small contact. The scrape method has the strongest stimulation in modern Bianstone Therapeutics. Therefore, a direct contact with the skin is not used. Cotton textiles are used on the scraped parts during the application of this method.
The commonly used Bianstone tool is the Bianstone board, which is thick on one side and thin on the other. Blunt blade of thin edge is designed for implementing the scrape method. In addition, the edge of the Bianstone anvil, the horizontal use of Bianstone wheel, and Sibin pumice can all be used for this method.
A specific folk therapy of scraping is developed based on the ancient scraping method. Although it is viewed as a branch of Bianstone Therapeutics from the perspective of medical disciplines, there are some differences as the corresponding Bianstone therapy has been lost for nearly 2,000 years while the folk therapy of scraping has an independent existence and development.

  1. The Scrape method of the Bianstone therapeutics stresses that the Bianstone board should be made of the Bianstone tool and fine stones. The induction effect (infrared radiation) and the acoustic effect (ultrasonic wave ) of the Bianstone tool on the human body are also emphasized in addition to the forces between them.
  2. As the Bianstone tool has smooth texture due to its microcrystalline structure, no grease is needed even it is scrapped directly on the human body. The patient should not feel any pain. Meanwhile, patients will not have a large number of bloodstains after the application of this method.
  3. As one of the 16 methods of Bianstone therapeutics, the scrape method is usually used together with other ones. It purges excess and tonifies deficiency. Therefore, the implementation of the scrape method is usually introduced by the scrub method and ended by the sense method.
After the loss of Bianstone therapeutics, the folk scraping therapy, after all, has almost a thousand year of independent development. When the Bianstone therapeutics is restored, the similar experience of scraping is certainly of importance for the Scrape method of Bianstone. At the same time, the appearance of Sibin pumice Bianstone board also provides a good tool for the folk therapy.

The Twist Method The Bianstone Therapist twists the Bianstone tool left and right in the prick method, which can increase the degree of stimulation of the Bianstone on the human body and enlarge the location of Qi and the blood movement. The effect of twist method is better when the prick method is applied on the acupoints.

The Spin Method The Bianstone Therapist slowly spins the Bianstone tool clockwise and anticlockwise alternately as in the press method. Please note the difference between spin method and scrub method in rotations: the former is adding rotary motion based on the press method with a small rotation radius and a constant pressure of the Bianstone on the human body while the latter has a large radius and small pressure of the Bianstone on the human. With pressure, the spin method can make the stimulation of the diffuses and thus benefit the body's blood flow.

The Vibration Method A Bianstone therapist vibrates the Bianstone up and down with the rhythm of the press method and the prick method. It can make the effect of the Bianstone tool spread inside the human body, which is helpful to the conditioning of the body entrails. The vibration frequency should be consistent with the patient's pulse.
Vibration can also be applied in the sense method. The Bianstone Therapist holds the Bianstone anvil on the affected area with a rhythmic vibration. The Bianstone tool has no contact with the patient throughout the treatment. The effect of the Bianstone on patients relies on induction, and adding the vibration method in the sense method greatly enhances the intensiveness and penetration of the induction.

The Pull Method In the press method and prick method, when the pressure and prick reach the max, the Bianstone Therapist suddenly reversely evacuates the Bianstone from the human body. It called the Pull method. The key to operate the pull method is to press slowly and pull quickly or prick slowly and pull suddenly. In the stage of slow pressing or pricking, the pressure will increase and the blood will move to the peripheral and deep areas. The quick pulling reduces the pressure of the original compression zone and the peripheral areas, to which the blood then quickly move back, making Qi and the blood of the original compression zone, the peripheral area and the deep area in an extremely active state. This approach is conducive to smooth blood and expel body's heat-toxin.
The Cupping therapy is a medical approach developed on the basis of ancient pulling method The Bianstone cupping, also known as fire Bianstone, can be used in the pulling method of Bianstone therapeutics and have the same usage as the cupping therapy. Its advantage over ordinary cupping lies in that it is made of Sibin pumice and in the process of implementation, there is the function of sense method in addition to the pull method and the warm method, which can make up the shortcomings of the ordinary cupping therapy: excessive purging but insufficient tonifying. The Cupping therapy is very popular among the folk after the loss of ancient Bianstone therapeutics.

The Warm method It uses warm Bianstone to treat disease. The practice is as follows:

  1. To put a big Bianstone tool, such as a Bianstone block, a Bianstone anvil or a Bianstone ball, etc. on the affected region after heating in the hot water or in the sun. If the temperature of the Bianstone tool is too high, warming method can be done by putting a layer of towel between the body and the Bianstone. The Bianstone can be put on the human body or it can be sit on or laid on, covered with a blanket or placed on a rubber hot-water bag to preserve heat for a long time.
  2. To stroke along the collateral channels with apex or prick on the acupoints after heating the Cone Bianstone. This will get rid of the cold invading meridian and the entrails. Acumoxatherapy of the Chinese medicine is developed on the basis of the warm method.
  3. To use the electric acupuncture. Various electrically heated methods are very convenient to warm the Bianstone, which can always keep warm for a long time.
The most suitable season for the warm method is winter or the cold times, such as early spring and late fall .The Bianstone tool's energy of far-infrared radiation is increased after heating. Sibin pumice has the capability to turn heat energy (including heat-toxin) into far infrared radiation that is useful for the human body. It explains the mechanism of the warm method.

The Cool method It treats diseases with cold Bianstones. The approach is as follows.

  1. To immerse the Bianstone tool, such as the Bianstone block , the Bianstone anvil, into the cold water, wipe it after taking out, and apply it on the affected region. The cool Bianstone block can also be sit on.
  2. To immerse the small Bianstone tool, like the Bianstone board, the Bianstone cone and the Bianstone roller into the cold water. The cool method can be applied to cosmetic surgery, helpful for eliminating facial wrinkles and subcutaneous fat.
The cool method is to eliminate the heat-toxin in the body. The Bianstone should be placed on the head of the patient with fever to cool down his temperature .The practice is similar to the application of ice packs in Western medicine. However, there are similarities and differences between the two. After being put on the patient's head, the Bianstone not only absorbs his heat-toxin, warms itself ,but also radiates infrared to the patient as a heat blackbody for therapy. The Bianstone is able to turn the harm into a benefit.
Application of cool method should be careful. Over-cooling will make patients catch cold. The elderly and the weak should use cool method with necessary caution against excessive use of cooling.

The Listening method The listening method, a music therapy, mainly refers to listening to the chime stone. Listening to SiBin-Huwen Chime Stone does mental and physical benefits for one's health. The music therapy has drawn increasing attentions, and it has significant effects on treating many diseases, especially the mental illnesses, such as easy irritability, insomnia, amnesia, melancholia, phobia and so on. SiBin-Huwen Chime Stone, made of the natural rocks: Sibin pumice, produces the natural sounds. Listening to the classic chime stone or the music played by the stone lute can bring joy to one's soul and refresh the mind.
There is another ear-canal listening method. To plug the ear canal with the rear of the Bianstone board and scrape the edge of the Bianstone board with the finger, making it send out sound and ultrasound. This approach could promote blood flow of the ear and the brain .It can be used for prevention and treatment of headache, tinnitus, hypertension and other cerebrovascular diseases.

The Beat Method The Beat method, similar to the listening method, is another music therapy of beating the instrument. Mi Heng, a scholar in the three kingdoms period, beat the drum for Cao Cao. His elegant beating was called three Yu Yang Beats. This method is to beat the chime stone by oneself. Listening to the chime stone is beneficial for one’s health, so is beating chime stone.
Confucius stroke the chime stone to cultivate his mind and body, according to the The Analects of Confucius. When Confucius beat the chime stone in Wei country, a man carrying a straw basket listened to the chime stone struck by Confucius, exclaiming: The chime stone really speaks for you! Confucius was in bad mood during his stay in Wei country, and he beat the chime stone to refresh himself physically and mentally. The sound, including the ultrasonic waves, of SiBin-Huwen Chime Stone can penetrate the human body and spread to the body through the air medium when one listens. Therefore, the energy the beater receives is larger than that of a listener. Both the listening method and the beat method (with a slight difference from the SiBin-Huwen Chime Stone beating), are Bianstone therapeutics. SiBin-Huwen Chime Stone and the stone lute are used for family health. One strikes, and the others listen, making a harmonious, happy and healthy family.
